Chapter 57: The Flames Return

Now, there had been lore

In between the time of Yami’s last escape

From the gods to the current time

Where there were four deities that had

Become destroyers of cities and villages

Killers of the wealthy and of the poor.

However, what many didn’t know

Was that there were five,

Yet one disappeared many years ago

Unknown to the public of

Had become of him

Yet, nothing was done about rumors

Of the silent whispers that lurked

Within the market places late

Into the night as many did there

Dirty business along with laundry

During those hours.

Now these four had a reputation of their own

Claiming that they served the true king

Yet none knew of this figure

Or what any of that meant.

The first man, known as Suntribos

Was intelligent, and would shatter

A mear man’s dream with no remorse

In order to crush the compition.

The second one, called Smaragos

Loved to smash two men’s skulls together

Watching the red stream flow out

As he moved on, uncaring

The stream, some would say

Would follow him

Trying to grab his attention

Yet no proof was ever found

Since the third individual

Would come through and finish off

Entire villages, leaving nothing but ruble

And many referred to him as Sabactes.

The Final one was the worse of the worse,

For he was highly intelligent, strong, and fearsome.

He took on the other three and one other,

One by one, taking them out.

When he won, he had gathered them altogether

Claiming out to them his proposal

‘I propose to you we go, join forces

And reserruct the king, and take what

Is ours!’ This man was Omodamos.
