Rushing into the NightA Chapter by Ceuthonymushttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXEZCnAGIjg Use hyperlincs to read along with the works
The ambulence swayed from side to side as you drifted toward it. Another night on the job, and all long for is sleep, for peace of mind. But nope, you got called in, your boss giving you one last soul to take before the night is over.
This has got to be the worst graveyard shift ever, you think to yourself. Inside the vehicle you watch as several men worked feriously in order to save the young soul who you have to claim. None are safe tonight. The victim that is your job appears to be eighteen, just entering college. So sad, you think, so much life in front of you and you waste it all, and for what? You ponder this question as the ambulence continued to rush on through the countryside, heading to the closest hospital in the area. You begin to look at the boy with a critical eye. His hair is dyed black, not very long however. He is wearing a pair of black monochrome chucks, dark jeans, and a black v-neck tee-shirt. In the middle of his chest is a faint, but well defined tattoo of a skull pressed into the skin, an inky calling to your services. The boy also has two black leather wristbands, one for each wrist, both with a little red on them. Well that makes sense, you think, afterall, he did try to go down river on his arms. The doctors at this point quicken their efforts as the vehicle begins to slow down, showing that they have arrived to their destination. All he does is stare up, not looking at anything in particular, his eyes glazed over. He just lays there as the doctors try to grab his attention all the while staring into oblivion. He still isn't right, however. The soul must let go of the body, even for the slightest of seconds, even for just a tenth of a mila-second before he is ready for the taking. The ambulence slowed down to a stop and the doctors were trying all they could in order to save him. They pulled the doors open, whipping the gurney with the boy on it around and into the hospital. The nurses and doctors rushing all around, grabbing IVs and other medical utensils, pushing needles in here and there, pumping drugs into him. You float along, following this sad and dramatic scene, unable to contribute, unable to do anything. All you can do is watch and observe until he is ready.
