Chapter 52: The War is Waged

Chapter 52: The War is Waged

A Chapter by Ceuthonymus

Chronos went thus and grabbed Artemis

Carrying her off the battlegrounds

Where she was tossed around

From the very rage that had been unleashed.

“Hold in there,

Just for me at least,

We are almost home.”

He asked gently to her,

Hoping that she would be ok

That she wouldn’t hurt him too badly

For what he had done so far.

He got up with her in arms

And began to continue his journey

When he saw the army

Of a thousand men strong

All marching down the very mountain

He wished to journey up

All heading down however

All heavily armed as it appeared

With the war banners waving in the air.

Again, he bent down

To set her down,

“Today is not the day,

I am afraid.

I hope you are ok

But for now

We must part.”

No answer came

He knew better than that.

So he stepped forward

With time and space warping

All around him

As he landed at a hill,

The very hill were Yami had lived

For so long with his family.

“If I cannot have my family again,

Then I shall start anew,

I shall start a new family here

Atop of the dead family that Yami had

That Yami had lost from this war

And from me and my own battles.

We shall rise higher then we could have

Ever dreamed of before.”

With that, Chronos went to work

With Yami fast asleep inside him

Willing and ok with Chronos taking charge

With total faith in the very man

Who had saved his life countless times

Yet was the very same man

Who had taken everything from him.
