Chapter 48: The mystery man

Chapter 48: The mystery man

A Chapter by Ceuthonymus

We catch up

To Artemis and the man

Who is carrying her

All the way out of the forest

Without a name is he

At least for now

But soon enough we shall

Find out what his name is.

In the mean time

Up in the Heavens

Sat Olympus

Watching all of these events

Unfold before their very eyes

Athena watching closest

Seeing this figure

Appear without warning

And searching for the boy

That they had up ‘til

Asbetos showed up for that battle

And to be found nowhere.

Zeus enters now

The two of them in the main

Meeting hall of the gods

Both sharing the same look

As another enters the room.

“Ah, the fresh smell of blood

In the middle of the day

Is so refreshing

Especially since it has been

So long since the war of Troy

Has ended without much fun

For me at least

While of you sit idol

Waiting for whatever boring

Business you have to attend to

But for me

That much excitement to occur in

One single moment in time

To have it all end the very next

Leaves feeling empty

And bored out of mind.

So what do you two say to me

And my men

Marching on down this hill of ours

And prepare to capture these two

Along with killing the wench

Who decided to betray your rule father

And to then find the boy

Who I assume is dead in the village

That the dumb fire menstrol messed with.”

“Oh, Ares,”

Replied Athena,

“You carry an air that fills

The room with nothing more

Then your aragence

Which is nearly suffocating me

With each passing moment.”

“Enough children,”

Boomed Zeus.

“We will do this,

Ares, take care of the wench

And see if you can get any

Information of whom she works for

Since I doubt that she would

Do such a thing on her own.

Athena, I want you to take Artemis

Back on up here

And to find out about this man.

Whomever gets done first

Shall go back to collect the boy.

Do I make myself clear?”

With that said both nod

In silent compliance

And all move their separate ways

Preparing for what they thought

They were ready for

Yet had nothing under control

Compared to the mysterious man

Who had seemed to come out of

The flames that Asbetos made.
