Chapter 40: Return to the Village

Chapter 40: Return to the Village

A Chapter by Ceuthonymus

So off does Chronos run

Through the woods

Streaking on through

In order to make it out alive

All the while

Holding onto Artemis

As she is frozen in time

Unable to do anything

As Chronos wishes her not to struggle

Not to fight him

But to just let him help her

By getting her to safety

Even thou she is different

That she would rather

Die in combat with her loyal underlings

That worships her with all their might

And serve her to their dying breath.

He then found himself back

In the village in which he had been captured

With it all being abandoned

No one steered on out

For none lived here any longer

When they feared the forests now

With the hunt being so close to home

And without what they felt at least

The protection of the gods,

And so the people took flight

In the middle of the night

Leaving their homes in tact

But as bear as humanly possible.

This however did not bother Chronos

For this was perfect to him

In order to hid out

Until things seemed to calm down.

Chronos looked around

Until he found a home he found

To be suitable to the goddess

And placed her inside

When he collapsed on the ground

After placing her on the bed

Unable to move

The damage and destruction

That the body was enduring

Finally taking its toll.
