Chapter 38: Goddess and Titan

Chapter 38: Goddess and Titan

A Chapter by Ceuthonymus

Artemis didn’t have much time

Her campaign being thus far

A success but with much to do

In order for the mission to be

Truly a success.

She had moved the camp

On over to a cave

That she had knowledge of

From a previous scouting expedition

That she had conducted.

The forests were her home

She had to know them all

She had to know where to go

She needed to find the truth now

From the man that was under her rule

For the short time that she does control him

As her captive in war

For the most powerful thing

For the knowledge that an elder may carry

Is worth more than his life

And so Artemis followed this philosophy

Of having captures

In order to learn more

And to stay in front of the foot race

For power.

She lead the people to the clearing

Where the cave rested

Ordering her troops to base camp

At this prime location

Ordering the soldiers

Who carried his limp body

To caring it into the cave

And to construct a small cage

In which he shall live in

Until he has reached Olympus

Then he would go through

The horrors that Zeus has in mind

For him to go through

In order to find out the truth

Or the delusional one

For that has to cross her mind

That he may be delusional

But for now

She must deal with him

As one would with a nusience.

Soon enough the cage is made

The prisoner is locked away

And now she waits

For him to steer

From his slumber.

‘You got me,’

Rasped Chronos

‘Now what do you want?’

‘Nice of you to join us

And of letting that child take

All of the arrows

That were meant for you.’

‘Well, aren’t you so motherly?

Protecting the young and all

But a boy at that!

Something must have changed you

In order for you to act this way,

But the question is what,

What is it that made you change so?’

‘Oh Chronos, you know what

Made me change

Because it was you

Who changed me

Who changed us all

And made us all uneasy

With your return.

Why return at all

When you are so weak?

Why not wait and hide

Until you are at full strength

To come out and have

Finished us all off

Without much difficulty

Since we didn’t even forsee

Your return at all.’

‘Because the truth

Needed to be told

And to be known.

That I am not the enemy

But a messenger that

Bears the news of who is

Your true enemy

And that I wish to work

Along all of you

As I respect the rule of Mighty Zeus

For I am not interested in ruling any longer

But instead on working towards

Peace and the freedom

To walk on this Earth

Once more without the

Fear of being persecuted.’

Artemis just looked at him

In pure disgust

‘How dare you say lies

Straight to my face!

You aren’t even worth

Our time when instead

We should just crush you

Like the little ant

That we all know that you are.’

With that said,

Artemis stormed out of the cave

When suddenly fire exploded

Sending her flying back

Towards the cage with Chronos

Wounded there sat.

‘Let’s begin the festivities!’

Cried out burning Asbetos, fire menstrol

As he walked into the cave

And proceeded to walk towards

The two of them.
