Chapter 33: The Rude Awakening

Chapter 33: The Rude Awakening

A Chapter by Ceuthonymus

Yami awoke

In the tree that we had left him in

The rest that was much needed

The body still stiff and sore

Making it difficult to move.

He rolls out,

Landing on his feet

With swiftness

But not before his knees buckle

Unable to handle the stress

The body is burdened with

And crumbles to the ground.

He lays there

Looking up at the sky

Wondering if his life will

Ever be the same again

But knowing well now that it won’t

Return to the simple life

Especially since he is without a family

Or a family anymore.

‘We have to move, Yami.’

The voice within his head echoed

Yami unable to determine

Whether it be his own thoughts

Or it to be the deadly god lurking within.

Then suddenly, without warning

Arrows began to rain down

Upon the child

Who had little time to react to the situation

And began to crawl on up

Onto his feet and began to

Sprint for his life.

He could hear the high pitch

Yells of warriors as the came

Crashing on through the forest

Unafraid of the noise they made

Knowing full well that the child would

Be afraid of them

Becoming a thundering herd

That charged forthwith

In brute force on after him.

And so Yami ran

For that is the only answer he truly knew

Since he himself wasn’t a warrior

And never learned the ways of war

But of only games

And childish things

And yet,

He is now running through the forest

Running from the huntresses from hell

And so the hunt had begun

For the head of Yami Cronos.
