Chapter 31: The Free Bird Sings

Chapter 31: The Free Bird Sings

A Chapter by Ceuthonymus

As he feel into slumber
Athena had began to think
About what he was
Sure he was a child
But he also held the evil god within him,
Yet that god saved her
From Circe, who seem's to have betrayed
Zeus and his rule.
So what did all of this mean,
What was this child to mean
To all the other gods and goddesses?
What was the message that
The god had with him
Carrying it all the way from the fallen city of Troy?
So many questions
So little time
When Zeus himself entered the room
"Ah, my sweet little angel
What troubles you so?"
Noticing her furled look
Of deep thought,
Which only happens when something does trouble her.
"Well, father it is that god, Cronos.
He makes me question some things
About this entire thing.
Afterall, he claimed to some wild things
Many of which I find hard to believe,
For he claims to not be your father,
Yet, we both know that to be false
He is our one and only father in this world.
He still goes on, with more troubling news
To the point where I don't know anything anymore.
I just wonder what he has yet to say
Or to tell us."
"Oh, Athena, he is playing with you
He understands that you run through logic
And as soon as that is out the window
He can easily fool you,
Or anyone for that matter
Into believing in what he claims to be truth.
But you must remember that his head is full
Of nothing but delusions, he knows nothing
Of the real world anymore,
Having been trapped within that dreaded ring of his
For so many years,
And hear me out,
When we have him,
I will personally have him banished within that horrid ring
And then pitch it into Tartarus
So that no living soul may stumble upon it
And be fooled by his delusions any longer."
With that said, Zeus left the room
Leaving Athena with her thoughts once more.
"Then what is the true story of Cronos?"
Asked Athena aloud to herself.
