Chapter 30: Land of the Wild

Chapter 30: Land of the Wild

A Chapter by Ceuthonymus

Cronos crawled out of the ocean
Onto the sandy beach,
Breathing heavily as he struggled to
Catch his breath from the fight
With the ocean itself.
He looked at what was before him
On his journey to Mt. Olympus
And what he saw was the wild
Free and vast,
Open and untouched by mankind
Waiting for one such individual to
Step foot and explore the exotic deity.
He got up
The sand falling off his carcass
The body moving like a man strung up
Moving limply by the puppeteer
Completely exhausted from all the action
And without rest.
It has been a long day for this god
As he moves with all his might
In order to reach shelter
To make it under cover
And to be safe from the
Evils of this world.
He crossed the beach ever so slowly
Finally reaching the forest
That would make one want to run
Or to explore what is held within it
And climbed up a simple tree
To find the sturdy branch
So that he could finally rest in peace.
