Chapter 29: The Great Crash

Chapter 29: The Great Crash

A Chapter by Ceuthonymus

Under the ocean
Raged a battle,
More like a struggle
For one to resurface
While the other tries to
Dive down deeper into the dark unknown
That lurks below of the magnificent ocean
Ruled by the mighty Posiden
Cronos struggled against the strength of
Lamia, demon shark of the depths
Who wishes to feed upon the fallen sailor
Whoses flesh is the only that will satisfy
For they are soaked in the sun
Atop the ocean and have the salt
Soaking their bones to become tender
To the blood covered teeth
Of the demon sharks.
Cronos then grabbed hold of those pearly whites
Stroking his magical touch o'er them
Aging them to the point of extinguishing decay
As they rotted away
So that he could slip away
Alive and free,
Only to look back in regret
As the demon had a sort of beauty about her
As if it were hidden within
Tainted by the darkness that filled her heart.
He sprung forth thus,
From the grand ocean's inside
Salty and wet, with the cloth
That covered him sticking to his bare skin
His hair clamped down upon his head
The sea water burning his eyes
As he tried to see once again
Above the surface of the ocean
To see the sky and breath the fresh air once more.
Then he saw it, land.
There it was, just waiting for him.
It seemed to spread it out wide and far
Like wings of a grand eagle,
Soaring over the water that he was trapped
Drifting in currently, under the currents
That wished to meet the land
For a lovers kissing
Wishing for it touch one another
The meeting of lips, if one will
As the sand is kissed by the sand,
Making it hot and steamy
From the cool waters' touch
And so our young hero swam for miles and miles
To reach this land that was golden
Created to be the reincarnation of Paradiso itself.
