Chapter 28: Back with the Gods Once Again

Chapter 28: Back with the Gods Once Again

A Chapter by Ceuthonymus

Elsewhere, the gods met once again
Up in the great halls of Mt. Olympus
Some dirty and sweaty from the battle
Down below on the island that Cronos
Had just escaped from
While the rest were well dressed
In armaments, prepared for full scale warfare
To spring forth from the bosom of each being
Within the confines of the grand hall.
Then in walked the golden god, Zeus, king of the gods,
His booming voice echoed throughout the
Hollow hall as he began the meeting of the gods.
"Oh, brothers and sisters, sons and daughters,
We are faced with great issues
About what to do with this child
Who seems to easily slip from our firm grasp
Each and every single time we seem
To have a hold of him and his pathetic life,
But alas, to our avail, he has returned to the sea,
Sailing away from us.
I say this, we must have an end to this,
Once and for all!"
Silence entered and filled the room
As eerily as that may seem
With each god and goddess holding a grim look
Spread out on their faces
Thinking of the gravity of the situation.
Then one stood up,
Bolder then most other gods or goddesses,
For she had something to prove
To herself and to the rest of the Olympians.
"Then bring them onto the sweet earth
So that we can bring them both up here
Without a mess to ensue
Wherever the fools may go.
I will gladly take care of them for you all
So that we can move on from this petty topic
And move on in life.
Besides, poor Posidon doesn't want to be
Made a fool anymore by those two."
"Well, my daughter, I won't argue with you
On any of those points.
Any objections to this?"
Bellowed mighty Zeus
With none other speaking at the moment
"Then it is settled,
Let the huntress hunt the prey out in the wilderness!"
