Chapter 27: LamiaA Chapter by Ceuthonymus
The Clouds began to form overhead
As Chronos continued to traverse the ocean Hoping for some dry land soon. Then lighning strikes out of the stormy sky The air heavy with anger and rage As if the gods are showing their fury Through the weather once again. All the while, the demon lurked below With our hero unaware, But not for long, For you see, the beast leaped out Of the water, shooting into the air, To just hang there for a moment, So beautiful, so hideous, So natural, so abnormal Was the beast that rose from the waters That the tiny boat float on Cronos looked on in awe Of the very demon that leapt From the very depths of hell itself And is now attacking the little boat Cronos sprung up In response as the demon ripped open her month And clamped onto the front of the boat. He jumped onto the beast Holding onto the top of its head As it let go and began to thrash back and forth Cronos began to attack Slicing into the thick skull of the demon While it let go of the boat Now thrashing about above the water Before it dove back down under the surface All the while Cronos holding on tightly Not wanting to let go But being forced to soon enough To only become food to the demon. So he held on, For all he was worth For fear of letting go For fear of never making it out of this hell Only to land into another hell For fear of never telling Zeus the truth For fear of never being forgiven For being a poor father For fear of the poor boy That rested inside him Exhausted from all that has been done And what will be done If they were to make it out of here alive.
