Chapter 11: The Island of the Witch

Chapter 11: The Island of the Witch

A Chapter by Ceuthonymus

So off did our hero go

Aboard that lonesome ship

Heading for Aeaea,

Home to the witch Circe, goddess of magic.

Inside the ship lay Yami

Fearful as ever was this child

While Chronos hid within,

Waiting patiently

Bidding his time before he would strike.

The arrived, landing ashore.

The men all leaving with Odysseus remaining.

Yami was scared until Odysseus

Rushed off the ship and onto the island.

Yami felt aches running through his body

And Chronos waited anxiously

Telling him to leave the ship

That they had business to attend to.

So Yami departed,

Hearing crashes of shattering glass in the distance.

'Listen child, move to the roof

Then i shall teach you how

To use my powers

But one at a time or else

You shall burn like the wings of Icarus.'

And with this in mind,

Yami went on his way to climb up the hill side.

The going was tough for this child

Then again, he had to become tougher than stone

In this brave new world

That the rosy fingers of Dawn were to reveal.

Once on the roof

Yami wondered what he was to learn

But not having to wonder for much longer.

'Young hero, I am the god of time

Which means many things

The main thing is the flow of time.

You must push it forward or else

Risk the chance of being killed.

Think these two words and pushing a door

One Year.

Then push the air,

Like that of opening a door.'

And so young Yami did just that

Into the future, and never to go back in time

However, a life for a life must be paid

Without Yami dying

A sailor fall off the roof

After a night full of drinking

Falling onto the ground and breaking his neck.

Here we are, one year later.
