Chapter 7: The Gods look on Odysseus and his Travels, Plotting

A Chapter by Ceuthonymus

The rosy fingers of Dawn so curled in
Through the cloudy roof o'er earth.
And resourceful Odysseus with his crew
Went sailing onwards,
Ending up at the island of the Lotus Eaters
All the while,
The crew began to party some more below deck
Were the child hid.
He taking scraps that went unnoticed into the haystack
As the crew was very much drunk with joy at this point.
With the gods looking on,
Debating the life of Yami Cronos.
'Why do we let him live?
He is the essence of evil,
So we have the right to kill him.
We mustn't be afraid to exercise our power,
We have never feared a mortal as much as this child,
So why hesitate?
Take aim and kill him before he kills Odysseus.'
Claimed an anger Poseidon, ruler of all seas.
'You heard what was ordered of us'
Returned wise Athena
'We shall only watch,
Making sure that he comes to us without fail.
He will come to us and we shall listen to what
He has to say before we take any kind of action.'
The gods all in a state of anxiety
All because he lived
While they fear His power
But they do not know the news he carries
And soon Odysseus gets his men in order
Having them sail off
Out of fear of never remembering Ithaca.
