Chapter 3: The Prophecy of Yami Cronos

Chapter 3: The Prophecy of Yami Cronos

A Chapter by Ceuthonymus

The child awakens

Blood is everywhere

That is all he sees

For it blinds him, in horror

Horror of what occurred

Of the fate befallen unto his family

And home, as all burns in bright flames

To the very ground of Troy.

The city is finally dead

All hope for its citizens

Is lost

Along with so many lives.

The child is left to all of this

With his dead family

Laying there before his feet

With looking eyes begging him for help.

The child watches as his home burns

From the flames of Asbetos, life burner,

As the old life of this child’s

Turns to ash.

But a new one begins

One of horrors worse than this

A life cursed by even the gods

But one that is necessary for the march of time.

He bends down

To shut the eyes of his family

Of his loving parents and little sister

All robbed of their futures

The boy says a quick prayer

Before running off

Back into the city

In the shambles of the dead city

And all the while

The gods look down

Wondering what his future means

Waiting for Apollo to arrive

So let us travel

Let’s change the scene

To that of mount Olympus

Where the gods hold a special meeting

"How long have you known

About the ring this child bears

And not tell us?" asks Pallas Athena, wisest figure in our world

A pause enters this room, all waiting for Zeus to answer.

"Ah, brothers, sisters, lords and ladies,

Let us sit down with peace in mind!" claimed burning Apollo

"The prophets speak of good news, if you will hear

And open your mind to it, for it is interesting."

"And why listen to you?"

Lord Zeus bellowed.

"For the truth will set you free

From your pain and suffering."

Apollo claimed, "Now please,

Take a seat and we can begin this."

Each god and goddess looked at each other

Worry and curiosity in their eyes of wonder.

"What did they say?" demands Zeus as thunder bursts out

"Such anger father, what?

Did you make a mistake?

Letting that man best you in a bet

And take that dreaded ring from you?"

Apollo burst back

"For it was destined by the prophets

Some time ago. I dare not tell you

For fear of my own life

But now this new situation is forcing my hands.

The prophets make prophecies

At the birth of every child.

Along with the hidden title

That only the gods have knowledge on.

This child with the ring was named

Yami, Voice of Crono's."

To which came many roars from the other gods

Arguing amongst each other

Over the life of this child.

"Enough!" came a giant roar

From thunderous Zeus, king of gods.

"We are here to listen to the complete prophecy

And that I do not think is completed just yet.

So please dear son of mine,

Do finish this tale of this child's future."

"Thank you father,

As I was saying, this child is the

Voice of Cronos,

A man whom we all despise

But this child comes to tell

His entire tale

For we are missing something necessary,

Something that none of us could foresee,

Not even I could have seen this.

He will then mentor the slayer of evil himself.

He will bring peace onto man

And will sacrifice everything for us, the gods.

He is on our side,

It seems to me from this

But we must be certain,

For he is working with Cronos.

So I come with this in mind

We should get to the boy first

For those who side with the titans

Are still out there

And we must get to him in order to protect

Ourselves

From those wretched humans.

This child is destined to walk out of earth

As a god of cursed living.

So we must retrieve him first

And bring him in chains up this mountain

Into our council

Bearing many questions as to who he sides with

And so forth,

For I fear that he also brings a war

Of the likes that all of us have never been in before.

This is the big war that shall leave us in ruins,

Dead

Or able to rise back up even higher then right now!

Now we must decide, do we want this child

Or do we leave him to the wolves?"

A long pause followed, with many unable to speak

From the horrors that they all face

Fearing this grand child

Who must bear the suffering of the human race and the gods?

A deadly combination that none should have to worry about.

A boy without a home, depressing. I must say this is a bit hard to follow, but its all things that can be fixed. And he must be the hero lol
