Chapter 1: The Day the Sky was BleedingA Chapter by CeuthonymusThis tale, Is both new and old, But it has yet to see the day of light, That is until now This story begins with the first of three And so begins centuries ago In a time when the myths were alive A time where heroes were true His journey begins here At the battle scene of Troy Even as the buildings fall For Helen. A goddess unleashed Upon all of mankind With many being consumed By her madness She is the cursed Keres, slayer of fools She cares not She is only an agent of death And deals out a cruel fate to any she snares The streets she coats in blood Along with her own body Without care of whose blood it is For she likes the scent that curls up in her nostrils But what! She begins to sneak off at the height of all chaos One mortal does notice this For he is hiding in the rumbles of Troy He follows her, Without knowledge of who exactly she is But to find this out Even at the risk of his own life She lurks into the depths of the lost streets That still stand for now But soon shall fall For now, though, a man waits for this goddess He is cloaked in darkness And not even I know who this odd person is The muses wish not I tell But to reveal in the near future. For now she begins to speak And we must heed these words 'O, Father, you must share The grand plan! This is so I may be of better assistance To you and your interests of returning To your former glory High up, as king of all.' 'So foolish are you, cursed Keres,' He answers, 'but I do not try to fool Others, and I am no fool with whom You may trick so easily. 'You wish to know of my entire plan? Surely you are the biggest fool of all For I will never tell, But pray on this little morsel of news: 'Go up that hill over yonder And take note of what is inside That seemingly abandoned home For there lies he who overthrew me. 'And He must pay! And pay indeed he shall, For what he has ignorantly done To me of all people!' With this said, The meeting between the two had finished As they both began to depart And we look on to see the terror stricken man Who had been watching from elsewhere As the two shared a word with each other But this man has much to worry With the city burning to the ground But most important, He had to warn his family For he was a soldier of Troy And furthermore, lived on the hill over yonder. So as quick as his legs could carry his weight He began to rush home Climbing through all of the ruins Of the once glorious city of Troy As he closed in on the hill Another character crosses his path It is burning Asbetos, village burner, Who stands in his way 'And where do you think you are going?' Asbetos asked 'you are ruining the surprise! No no no, this just won't do, I guess this means goodbye Which sucks, because I liked you, You made this kind of interesting, But we cannot have you ruining it for the rest of us, Isn't that right?' looking over the Trojans head 'Quiet right, as always,' Claimed cursed Keres And those were the last words The soldier would hear. © 2013 CeuthonymusReviews
