My Cry

My Cry

A Poem by V.I.C.

My Cry

Oh Lord! How you brought me out of my pit. The one I dug my-self, the one that was drowning me in darkness. The waves of sin consumed and drew me in, overwhelming it was.

Even when I ignored your word, you inclined to me with a stretched hand, always ready and prepared to take me in. You found me in countless pieces; you gathered them all while I was lost in the valley.

But you oh Lord! You walked in with your light shining so radiantly bright and light a path for me, cleansing me in your fire. You then restored my spirit and filled my jar with new wine again.
