My Honeysuckle

My Honeysuckle

A Poem by V.I.C.

As I walked the lush gardens,
A sweetness I smelled,
At that moment my attention was held.

The intoxication of your fragrance filled me.

To consume you I felt I must.

But time was not my friend.

The harshness of winter came
and it destroyed everything I wanted us to be.

Perfect, other than I might change the wording of the "To consume you I felt I must." line. Otherwise, this is amazing.
