April

April

A Poem by V.I.C.

Oh April, winter seemed to gleam over you in victory.
You almost forgot about the change you were supposed to bring.
Don't forget you are responsible for birthing new life.

But oh April!
You didn't fail after all, no disappointment here, for the flowers finally did blossom.
The sun did kiss them;
caressing them in warmth,
raising them from their winter slumbers.
Oh, April.
