PetA Poem by CentipedleThe world outside today was warm.
As I watched from my window on my comfy chair. I could see the birds flying by, Making my mouth water with desire. I didn’t get to go outside often you see. The master came home late most days, Got upset when I wasn’t back soon. But I loved him all the same. Maybe not the way that buster would. I clawed at my pole and sometimes, The furniture. Then got scolded by my master for it. So on the days I could go out. I stayed close to the backyard. Got rid of the mice that threatened his crops. Lay in the field in the sun. But the best days I think, Were the nights that my master went to bed. I curled up right next to him. Knowing that I’d be right there for him the next morning. © 2017 CentipedleAuthor's Note
