Moving

A Story by Centipedle

"This paperwork is a pain in the a*s Matthew that's what it is." Shoe growled as she stood on the tree branch. Looking at the piece of paper in her hand the other Sonticus looked up at her from his spot on the ground which wasn't too far after all.
"Well you could just let Matthias do that." Matthew suggested as Shoe raised an eyebrow towards the younger man. She sat down on the branch and rolled up the paper, crossing her arms.
The woman would snort before jumping down from the branch and brushing past Matthew. It wasn't his fault she was in such a bad mood most of the time these days. It just seemed like if anyone told her to do something she got all pissy. Shoe walked closer to the encampment they had in a small clearing, like a bubble in all of these thick tree's. Her daughter approached her from the right as she walked from a tent.
"Mom do you know where Hamilton went?" She asked a bit concerned as Shoe stopped.
"You're asking me where your brother is, when you were supposed to be watching him?" the president would raise an eyebrow as Karrina smiled innocently.  Her index fingers poking together as Shoe let out a heavy sigh.
"Don't worry Shoe, he's with me."  She turned her head to look at the huge man in front of her. Lyre had Hamilton holding his hand as the king let the boy about ten years in age rush over to his mother. Clutching his notebook and pencil in his other hand. Shoe smiled and approached the king.
"Thank you Lyre, I'm sorry to ask all of this of you. But with lack of money we have to make due. Antonio is pregnant at the moment so it isn't like I could ask him for help. I think Amachi would kill me." Shoe shook her head as Lyre would give a smirk to her and then a thumbs up. Maybe his team weren't experts like Antonio but they could get a city build in a fairly short amount of time.
"Within a couple of years, you'll have moved your country safely into this new terrain. Away from your enemies." He reassured the president as Shoe pulled out her piece of paper.
"Do this for me then." She pushed it into him and Lyre grabbed the paper trying not to rip it. He looked it over - a form for the settlement. The official united dimensions committee had required Shoe to fill it out since she had been off the grid. That and it's founding only a year previous, it seemed like the organization was trying to snatch up whoever they could.
"It's because of Feral isn't it?" Lyre questioned as he raised an eyebrow. Shoe would become flustered and look away.
"It's not my fault the damn committee leader ticks me off okay. We met once and he acted like I was some ignorant child." She growled clenching her fists as the large king chuckled and waved the paper around.
"I got it, you go back to taking care of Hamilton." with that the large king walked off towards the workers to begin planning again.

Author's Note

Centipedle
It's been a hell of a week for me and I haven't been able to write any personal fun stuff of my own. So I wrote this with Shoe and some of her gang! I know it's chalk full of mistakes but I just needed some down time.
