God you are preparing for evil birth ,and nourish, and defend it ...
Wrath spew forth from my bowels
A divine power of rage
For you
you give him all your protection ,defenses to take over the world
My God this is really scary ,is this to happen soon,we better take care and prepair for the worse, very strong fearful writing dear Cat,tell me when this is close to happen...
I still stand by what I say- that you're one of the best poets ever!
This gave me goosebumps. Its so romantic and yet not in the archetypal way- its about pure devotion, and that in itself is beautiful, even if the poem is showing the darker things in life. After all, love isn't just about rainbows and bunnies (though we wish it was... *sniff*) nor is it about angst and woe, but something much, much deeper and scarier than that... its about truly giving everything up for someone and really being prepared to suffer for them, and that's a scary thought. You've captured it stunningly in this poem. Its so profound and fantastic. The ending stanza-
I gave you my all
My protection, my defenses
For you
To take on the world
Brought tears to my eyes! Everyone's talking about the evil in this poem, but I think that its more metaphorical than that... as in, they would prepare to face the harshest evil just for their loved one to be able to face the coming day... meh, maybe I'm wrong, but I do know this is a great poem!
So, the satanic is birthed, and because of emptiness and within the powers of rage that come forth then at the end the demonic will raise itself to the position of protector... it is a poem about those things we don't really want, harbinger of corn harvested and wind and crow circling high up over the farmer. It is a good halloweenish poem though I hope it doesn't come to pass anytime soon. bye, from raining
Of you
----------------------------Hey Cat, this is magnificent poem. I loved this part of it! I missed you! wonderfully woven, my new favorite of yours.
This sounds like it's from the point of view of satan as he established sin in the world. It's like satan is speaking to humanity, claiming he created evil so we might know divine power through it. I could just see him holding a sign saying, "Evil is the new good." The images of the womb and breast would obviously be used metaphorically were this the case. From what I gather, evil was given to us, born from fear because without fear, we would not know wickedness. Hunger and sickness were infested in us, so we could walk away from needless emotions like happiness, love, fullness, etc. These were created to ravage our being and make us stronger, and wrath is the divine power born from evil. Now that I think of it, this sounds like something from the mind of Friedrich Nietzsche. Either way, it is what it is, which is an awesome poem. I haven't read so diabolical a piece in a long time. Great job.
an amazing dark and delicious piece here. the maternal instinct framed within the evil aspect of the topic intrigues me...sets such images swirling inside my brain.....ones best left to light of day and not this night in my darkened living room. (I never have lights on around here unless necessary - cheap that way lol). I wonder what form of darkness has been let upon the world here, and what plans it has for us.....and a tingle runs down my spine at the ending here - knowing she has made this spawn of hers so strong....what hope could we possibly have to stand against it? delectable, dark read girl!
