For You

For You

A Poem by Celtic Cat
"

For a prompt in the Inspiration Think Tank group

"

Evil was born from my womb

I birthed it into the world

For you…

Fear was suckled from my breast

An enrichment for the being

Of you...

Hunger was made from my madness

Imposed starvation to feel the emptiness

For you...

Strife I bled out of my heart

A warm blanket of comfort

For you…

Wrath spewed forth from my bowels

A divine power of rage

For you…

Sickness I belched from my insides

To heal the ugly wellness

Of  you…

I gave you my all

My protection, my defenses

For you

To take on the world

Wrath spew forth from my bowels
A divine power of rage

A great and dark depiction in metaphor of motherhood and all the hardships that come with it hehe. Love it!

Reading this I thought you had birthed the devil himself...

"Wrath spew forth from my bowels
A divine power of rage
For you"

Very lucid imagery. Well done.

Nothing like the love of a good parent... sometimes tough love is the key and sometimes tenderness as you so well pointed out in this fabulous piece... this is exceptional work my friend.

It sounds like the type of poem a mother would impart to her child and is very awe-inspiring; by

her example, you will inherit life. A good choice of words!

A great nailing down of malevolence. Sounds like the imp-in-chief himself briefing his colonels. Strong poem. Simple and chilling.

wow. for the simplicity of the words and the elegant minimalism - this thing packs a WHOLLOP! it gives me shudders in places I didn't know were still attached to my body. Riveting, chilling poetry. A surreal, stalkerish feel to it. Or maybe I have just missed the crap out of your writing style. peace.

I am the hardest person around to freak out. I don't believe in ghosts, the living dead, or the hundreds of other mystical evils, BUT, this piece was sorta chilling. So, I would say it was an excellent write. :) Rain..
