A Cosmic Mistake

A Cosmic Mistake

A Poem by Celestia
"

Love without trust is a mistake

"
Millions of galaxies, billions of stars,
Everyone wondering, how did it start?
One sitting at home and one sitting in a car,
A pair of lovers, now forever apart.

Though separated by distance so great,
Their thoughts laced with each other,
Entangled in destiny's twisted fate,
They drift apart even further.

Their love might have been a mistake cosmic;
Solar storms of misunderstandings clouded their vision,
Like the northern lights, so ethereal yet toxic,
Like a meteorite with one destructive mission.

Moonlight visible on the edge of the frozen lake,
The water that once flowed in it,
Just as a suppressed heartache,
With traces of past love in it.

The water flows down a river between the lovers,
Just like the nature of the water.
Her love for him was perennial despite the troubles,
But in his eyes, she was one to always falter.

The leaves fell off the previously green trees,
The sign of their eternal love now covered.
The leaves, sometimes pushed away by the breeze,
Reminding of every moment savored.

The snow acting as a sheet of deceptions,
Their heartbreak now covered with a facade.
People slipping and falling with rare exceptions,
Falling, causing minor cracks which may escalate.

But soon flowers will bloom and the snow will melt,
They will forget each other, but not so soon.
For the snow will remain until dealt,
And so will the emotions, regardless if it's a bane or a boon.

So for now, one sits at home and one in a car,
Watching the seasons change just like their heart,
'Cause even if they are quite afar,
The love for each other isn't able to depart.
