Lift me up 
Hold me high
Above the earth
And past the sky
Show me heaven
Let me feel
This is perfect
This is real
Then let me go
And watch me fall
Victim to
The sirens call
Longing for
The lies to be
Truth but
Knowing honestly
Deep within
Within my soul
All I wish is
To be whole
And all I crave
Is one true love
And so I leap
From clouds above
In search of one
That I can trust
One whose soul
Burns not with lust
One tortured, broken
Battered, bruised
A heart in pain
Clearly abused
In need of love
But filled with fear
Shying from all
Who would come near
A kindred soul
I dare say
And my own heart
Will guide the way
As wings unfold
And carry me
Exactly where
I need to be
And once you see
My love is true
Forever I
Will be with you
