Forbidden fruit

Forbidden fruit

A Poem by Celeste21

He saw me

Lingering in a tree

And tugged away

Without further resistance

Caught me

Snag, Pull

Wrapped in a cocoon

Of his hands

I thought I were safe

With pacific fingers

He began

To peel away at

My delicate soft covering

I had no clue

That he sought to annihilate me

The juices inside

Ran lush

He knew what he was doing

He brought me to his lips

Without explanation

Or cause

He felt entitled

So permitted himself to

Bite into me

Excruciating pain

Insides pouring out

Lush, Rich

Divine

I dripped off his chin

Like silent tears

From cheeks

In the moment we are lost without context of the future. In hind sight we look back with new wisdom which brings regret. It is comparing apples to oranges for the moment isn't the present and present holds the wisdom not the moment. If we view a moment without viewing its past or future then we would smile for we felt passion and it filled us. Only when we put it context of the whole do we tarnish it with knowledge that we didn't have when the moment occurred. People do horrible things to each other, men use women for carnal lust satisfaction, but in the moment do not both enjoy it calling Gods name in sin. Consequences, consequences consequences we can't get away from them but we can endure and remember the moment for what it was. A moment of weakness, a memory of bliss.
