As Long

Done back in December 7, 2006 Hope for the broken heart.

As long as you are living
I want you to know
That there are hearts that get broken
And some refuse to mend
I want you to experience the pain
And the loss that torments some within
As long as the stars are shining
As long as the moon shall glow
As long as the Earth turns
As long as a heart beats
Inside of all of us will be
A child that refuses to
Acknowledge the fact
That once you fall in love
There is always someone
For which you to fall back on
Sometimes that child
Does not know who to turn to
As it cries in the corner where
It hides from its demons within
Praying for an angel or a wizard
To banish the dark and save it
But wizards have their own problems
Which are worse than the child's
And angels try to descend from the clouds
Of Heaven, they are denied by all
Except for the child
I want that child within
To know as long as it has a friend
Your heart shall mend
It may take a while
But you will feel better
And live life once again
