Lost Love

When will people learn that a heart isn't a toy? This was written in June of last year.

I thought that you were meant for me
But I thought wrong
Oh how I hate this dance and song.

You were the one who wanted me
For so long
But now you blew it
And now it is gone.

Damaged goods you seem to me
Wanting to play
And then leave me.

I shall not fall for that ploy again
Being made out like someone’s toy
Instead of a person with feelings.

Leaving me empty
And hardly breathing
With my heart barely beating
While breaking in my hands.
