Too Deep

Too Deep

A Poem by Celeb

We dug a hole together
But it was too deep
We tried to fill it
And began to weep
Knowing that we
Must sell what was
Ours to keep
Quaff the never-ending thirst
That dwells deep within
Only for it to rise again
Choking on the dying thirst
That constantly bursts forth
Knowing that death
Proceeds after birth
What can fill
The void so deep
What can quash
The thirst which
We must keep
How can we salvage
That is ours
Without going too deep?

Very nice, the idea of hugging a hole. Gives the poem some texture, the idea of dying of thirst. Try to work with veriety of metaphor perhaps, make a picture of thirst, much like your excellent metapohor of the hole, which is very effective. THANK YOU .....RAINING.
