Calling My Name

This came to me one day. Just thinking about the ocean and it's endless beauty.

I look at the horizon to see
The sun shining over the sea
Ocean breezes call my name
To come and shed the shame

Drop the blinders which
Cover my eyes from the vision
Which is crystal clear
And shows who my heart holds dear

Come and take my hand
We shall escape from the land
Escape from the pain
Escape from things we hold in vain
Open your heart and speak my name
And in the new kingdom we shall reign

I raise my hand to block out the sun
Shining so brightly it burns my eyes
Straining to see the vision which
Stands black against the sun
Walking closer who do I see
Is it you or is it me?

Come and take my hand
We shall escape from the land
Escape from the pain
Escape from things we hold in vain
Open your heart and speak my name
And in the new kingdom we shall reign

I open my hand calling to the silhouette
Wanting them to see me
Is it you or is it me?
Who stands so defiantly against the sea?
They come closer and it is neither you or me
But a spirit of yore, a spirit of the sea

Come and take my hand
We shall escape from the land
Escape from the pain
Escape from things we hold in vain
Open your heart and speak my name
And in the new kingdom we shall reign

I took his hand and closed my eyes
I opened my heart and felt everything
That once was, that now is and that shall be
I felt the ocean current pulling at me
And I felt the lapping of the sea
Is this what shall become of me?
A servant of the sea?

I think this piece of work comes very close to perfection. I've always loved the ocean and its mysteries, and I think you've done a fantastic job capturing that feeling. In my opinion, tweaking is not needed. This was an extremely effortless read and I loved the imagery. Fantastic job!
