Memories BeneathA Poem by Ceil LovegoodRiddles sketch in line a solitary stone hallway Endeavors to perceive my words cast fall astray Velvety sleeves dwell short of thy feeble knees Envy wordlessly oh weeps, smiling its perpetual glee Rivets such wondrous, silvery ripples deemed fine Islands those which stupefy the creature eyes Eve’s loveliness shall I simply word “Superb” October’s slumbering beneath lies in sleep Fairies weave illuminating thy shimmering leap Tomorrow’s tide delights those somber eyes Winter shuffles by slow, so we all know inside Ivy so curiously wean, emeralds hidden in snug Never my lover’s melody shall heed her again Endwise my window perched I sing of those days gone like rain © 2011 Ceil LovegoodAuthor's Note
