Multi-tasking.A Story by Cupcake.Originally written 10.15.2012 Writings from my universe. Things aren't always what they look like. She was worried. She didn’t expect his siblings to be up - not this early in the morning. Instead of pulling away like she expected, he kept his arms wrapped tightly around her, pressing her head against his bare chest. His little sister didn’t seem to care in the slightest. The young girl shuffled into the room on slippered feet, rubbing an eye and yawning. She looked at the couple - one perched atop the kitchen counter with legs wrapped around the other - and shrugged. Poking at the pan on the stove, she scoffed. “Now you know,” she began, directed at her older brother, “the one thing you cannot cook is french toast.” “Well, Shei” he replied, turning his head to her direction, “I wasn’t making the french toast, my lady was.” Shei let out a terse, slightly forced laugh and muttered “It sure looks like she’s just sitting on the counter with her legs wrapped around you.” He lowered his head and his signature smirk slid onto his face. “It’s called multi-tasking, my dear” © 2012 Cupcake. |
