Smiles To Never Forget

Smiles To Never Forget

A Poem by Jax Alessa
"

A smile can sometimes make the bad disappear. Perhaps we all should smile more.

"
The tears are dried up,
Joyful laughter fills me up,
Happiness again.

The sun has set low,
The moon has peeked its head up,
A glowing smile.

It is time to laugh,
It is time to grow and dance,
Play the music loud.

Dance upon a frown,
Take this heart and sing again,
This smile is now.

So take my smile,
Take sadness and throw away,
Never forget it.

I wrote this quickly after thinking of how a smile and how a simple movement of dance can sometimes wash our sadness away. I hope you enjoy this quick set of haikus! Reviews always wanted!

I love the way you used a smile as a simile for happiness. It's interesting

Thank you!

To me, a true smile can represent a lot when you need to be happy.
I think you are right. A smile and exercise even in the roughest times makes us feel better. In the first line, did you mean 'dried' instead of 'dries'. Also aren't haikus 17 syllables? Otherwise, good for you, well done

Ok, I must have miscounted the syllables. I think your poem was a lovely idea.
