What is family

Very complex and comes from the heart. For those of you without family.

Is family really family
Like honestly
Or do they just keep around cuz of blood
Thats the conclusion ive came to anyways
Once the benefit is gone
You may as well be dead too
Cuz you know to them you are

Once the pain starts to fade
You start wondering why
Was it really you
Or was it them all along
I guess there will always be questions
That will probably always go unanswered

Your mind starts pondering
You can't help it
But get drowned in your own thoughts
Why am i so worthless to them
And then you break down again
Thinking is this really what family is

Tearing you down
Doubting your every move
Laughing at you and your dreams
Is that really the family you want
Even if their the ones that raised you
I don't think so
Its just not worth all the pain
All the sorrow
