Regret (?)

Regret (?)

A Poem by Caustic_Dystopia

The words I needed, you never said
Just played your games inside my head.

Found someone to believe your lies.
Never believed I would say my goodbyes.

Took some time, more than I'd like to admit,
To leave you behind, but I did it.

They say your first love is one you never forget.
What they don't say is sometimes it's because of regret.
