Hold

Hold

A Poem by Caustic_Dystopia

Your story’s taken a few wrong turns to a dark and rocky road.
The words are wrong, the meaning’s gone; this isn’t what you wrote.

There’s demons around every turn;
Lurking, watching, waiting for you to burn.

I can see that you’re struggling,
that you’re on the edge of breaking down.

I can see that it’s hard, that you’re scared
‘cause your world has crumbled to the ground.

Everybody reaches a point in their life
where it feels like the world keeps stabbing them with a knife.

Never give up, never lose who you are.
It may seem hopeless, with happiness too far,

But there’s someone who loves you and wants you around.
Who will never let you fall even when there ceases to be ground
