Cataclysmic

Cataclysmic

A Poem by Caustic_Dystopia

I can't escape this hell, no matter what I try.
That familiar face leers through the shadows as I cry.

The surrounding abyss keeps calling my name
And the voice that it's chosen makes me go insane.

Gasping for air, curled in a ball
I should have known better than to give you my all.

Now the darkness consumes me I have no will to fight
How could I when you've stolen my light?

The hole in my chest makes me feel cold
And I let go as there's nothing left to hold.

I didn't want this, this isn't the path that I picked
How did everything turn so cataclysmic?
