Old Fashioned Love

Old Fashioned Love

A Poem by Caustic_Dystopia

A knock on the door, a shuffle of feet
A nervous boy with flowers is ordered to take a seat.

She walks down the stairs and up he stands.
"You looks beautiful." He whispers and takes her hand.

A curfew is placed and a promise she'll be home
Then off into the night they roam.

Opening doors, polite words spoken
Laughs shared, a friendship built too strong to be broken.

The night is over they stand at her door
Perhaps a kiss to say goodnight and he expects nothing more.
