Break This Spell

Break This Spell

A Poem by Caustic_Dystopia

Guess you found your way under my skin.
I swore to God, I wouldn't let you win,

What happened?

I promised myself you wouldn't hypnotize me
Now I'm paralyzed and drowning at sea

And just as everything fades to black I'm suddenly revived
Are you really keeping me alive?

Why can't I break this spell you cast
Even after our time has past?

Why do I crave the poison you seep into my veins?
Why am I so addicted to the pain?

You pulled me in and rung me dry
I said I wouldn't miss you, I lied.

I'll never break this spell you placed
My soul and yours are interlaced.

You're fake love helps me survive
Why couldn't you see you keep me alive?
