A Poem by Caustic_Dystopia

He looks in the mirror straightens his tie,
takes a deep breath then let's out a sigh.
She laces up her dress and puts on her veil
resisting the urge to bite on her nails.
The walk down the aisle passes in slow motion,
Not a single person here disagrees with the notion.
Hands intertwine, the service takes place.
Happy smiles in a room full of grace.
You may now kiss the bride:
she lifts her veil and stares at her wife.
You may now kiss the groom:
He leans towards his life.
Finally the law recognizes their love
The preacher unites them and sets free the doves
Man and Man
Woman and Woman
It's about damn time
