Chase Her

Chase Her

A Poem by Caustic_Dystopia

Pour me something to distract my mind, something around 110 proof.
'Cause you're all I can think about as the rain falls over my roof.

Why can't I just leave you alone,
Put us to rest under that grey stone?

I know you're no good for me, you're nothing but a user
A cheater, a liar, an emotional abuser.

You act like you feel something; like you're doing me a favor
And don the armor pretending to be my savior.

But you can't stay somewhere too long
Before you have to find someone new and get gone.

You're a leaver, a chaser, you're just in it for the fun
Once you've got her under your spell you take off and run.

You're not who I thought you were, you're not my Superman,
So, go ahead and chase her and catch her if you can.
