A Poem by Caustic_Dystopia

You'll never decided you'll just keep stringing me along
'Til I get tired of singing this song.

Then I'll move on, shattered again
And you'll be just fine, without a scratch on your skin.

I won't casually cross your mind.
And as you close your eyes my face you won't find.

The sound of my name won't affect you at all
And you won't lie awake praying I'll call.

My memory won't weigh on your heart
And living without me won't tear you apart.

I'll say goodbye and set you free
I'll close the door and turn the key

I'll fall to my knees behind the locked door
You lost the battle, but I lost the war.

This is the mirrors rant. I've seen it and felt it before. Where the individual projects what they wish was going on in the other persons head, but tells the story as it's happening to themselves.

These words bring to mind two things. Technically... on your first line...I think you may have meant the first word to be... "You've..." ?

The second thing is this. In life and love, there is no battle or war... only experience. It's a ladder that we can choose our direction after emotional or traumatic events. We may not be able to keep from being in painful situations, but how we handle the afterwards is always up to the individual.

A great little poem, right out of the pages of reality.
