Say Something

Say Something

A Poem by Caustic_Dystopia

Another argument, terrible words were said.
Two weeks of no talking, leaves doubt in my head.

Is this the right path, did I make a mistake?
The last thought when I sleep, the first when I wake.

I'm endlessly staring at the phone.
With no sign of stopping, I sit here alone.

I meant what I said; I won't wait for you forever,
and part of me hoped you wouldn't let out love be severed.

Am I foolish for thinking you ever loved me?
Just a stupid dreamer pretending we could be.

I'm giving up as we fade away.
You won't care tomorrow, just like you didn't care today.

With eyes holding back tears and a broken heart
I'll tell you goodbye and I won't fall apart.

When anyone asks me; I'll say I'm just fine
And no one will ever see through the lie.

No one will know I cry myself to sleep
Praying to God for you to just say something.
