Late Night Adventure

Late Night Adventure

A Poem by Caustic_Dystopia

He climbed up the mountain sword in hand,
quickly approaching no-mans land.

The dragon roared off in the distance
as he followed the path of least resistance.

Soon the grand castle towered before him
and as he approached the sky grew so dim.

He conquered the dragon as he climbed the tower
and at the top there was the sent of flowers.

There laid the Princess asleep on the bed
with fireflies circling around her head.

He kissed her cheek and soon she awoke
with true loves first kiss the spell had broke.

"Oh, young prince!" She said with glee,
"I'm so glad you came to rescue me."

He stifled a yawn and the castle disappeared.
He blinked a few times and soon furniture appeared.

"Playtime is over." The Princess said,
"now go wash up and get ready for bed."

He climbed in the bed and she tucked him in,
kissing his face again and again.

"Goodnight sweet prince, I love you."
"Goodnight mommy, I love you, too."
