InsidiousA Poem by Caustic_Dystopia
Those big brown eyes pulled me in
As your charming words got under my skin. Your act was flawless, a perfect guise Impossible for me to see through the lies. Your presence calmed my sense of danger And soon I fell for a perfect stranger There was no warning, no flashing lights Nobody around to remind me of my rights You're a plague, an infection , a drug, a disease Swimming through my veins with relative ease With a mask so convincing I didn't see you were hideous. I wish I had known you were insidious. © 2015 Caustic_Dystopia |
