The Golden Gate

The Golden Gate

A Poem by Catherine Schythe
"

"For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul?" (Mark 8:36)

"
Your soul is worth more than silver and gold,
Hold onto it and do't let it go,
You can walk a very long road,
some wide, some with dead ends,
only to have to turn and search again,
So many gates, which one to choose?
the narrrow path, you mustn't lose,
Life is nothing but a speck of dust,
So many things in life to lust,
Wide are the gates,
But narrow is the path,
That one that leads to eternal life.

I really like this. The flow was great and it's true. It reminds me of a song that Dolly Parton sings called "Silver and Gold" I love that song lol

Great Job
