The Time Piece

The Time Piece

A Poem by Catherine Schythe
"

Life has no stamp date.

"

The Time Piece

Every minute that passes,

Turns into the past,

We can only move forward,

To what is ahead,

Time does not wait,

And it does not pause,

It has no mercy,

It has no patience,

It just keeps going,

Whether you keep up,

Or stay behind,

Before you know it,

Age will knock,

Time will ask,

Where have you been?

What did you do?

You were stuck in time,

While time moved on.

Thanks for pointing that out. Corrected.

Okay, the first thing I noticed here was the repetition of "minute" in the first four lines. You tend to want to avoid this and never use the same word relatively close together, unless you're going for resonance (where it worked nicely in the last two lines.)
But, overall, this is a lovely little piece! A nice description of time passing by
