AloneA Poem by Catti*Bre
She swallows hard, and tries to speak
but no words come from her silenced mouth She blinks to clear the tears away, and blinks to see what lies ahead, but she cannot view what the future holds, she's choking from a death-grip hold. Darkness over flows, and pursues her like she is prey. Devouring her soul, making a feast of her. A spectacle for all to see, she lies broken on the ground. But she still breathes. The pain is not gone, but its numb from the inside. She marks herself with razor blades to make it come true from her dreams. She is haunted by the words she hears, ringing in her mind, she tries to run, she tries to hide, but around every corner, there it is. Laughing. Mocking. Killing her. She is dying. Dying slowly there is hardly anything left of her. © 2010 Catti*BreAuthor's Note
