Whispers of a distant dream

Whispers of a distant dream

A Poem by Catlen
"

Based on a song I love.

"

A feather

from Cupid's wings.

A caress

as you sleep.

Closed eyelids,

there I'll linger.

A dream

I will follow.

A secret

I will watch.

Soft lips

I will kiss.

A whisper

of night winds.

A breath

to awake you.

Love whispers

you can't feel.

You never loved me

and never will.

As a reviewer of one of my pieces put it (in so many words),
heartbreak can be so beautiful....
love it, thanks!

Thank you! :)))))))
The world is such a place... and people still find silence and darknesses. But sometimes, just sometimes - reaching fingertips do ...touch another's.

An old world flavour in a new world heart...
' A whisper ~ of night winds. ~ A breath to awake you.'

Those words alone make a beautiful poem. You write sadness in such a dignified, gentle style. Thank you for sharing

A real pleasure, sorry it's taken a while. Try to hard to review folk but not as often as I'd like.
