Muse, Forgotten

Muse, Forgotten

A Poem by Catlen

My eyes commanded

an oath of

you to obey and please.

My body felt

an urge to

respond to you with ease.

My heart opened

a door to

let in your eager tease.

My soul suffered

a loss as

you let your bond release.

Isn't this so indicative of how relationship (in general) are? The rise then fall. I enjoyed the descriptive nature of this piece.
Thank you for sharing.

Reminds me of Tennyson, "Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all." Opening your heart is always a risk. Great job.

Thank you for reading. :)
Such a perilous venture, this game of love. Whether it brings ecstasy or a suffering soul, we must go there. Very nice, sensitive writing, Catherine.

The poem is concise yet created a complete picture of bittersweet memories. The bond at the end was broken... So moving.
